Sex isn’t as taboo nowadays as it was in the decades past. Although, it’s not something people bring up casually in most polite conversations; but it has come to a point that whether people like it or not, it boils down to the fact that sex is a basic human need. And as with other basic needs, different people have different views on how to come by it. Some people engage in casual sexual relationships or flings, while others prefer to already be in a relationship before moving to the level of sexual intimacy. Some people are somewhat apprehensive when it comes to acts of a sexual nature, even when they’re doing it with someone they’re already comfortable with; and for others, it’s okay to experiment, it’s exciting, even.
Different views regarding sex may exist among people, but it’s irrefutably a vital element in relationships between partners. For new couples, it’s akin to getting to know each other better, and trying to learn everything there is to know about the other. For couples in long-term relationships, it’s the mark of how comfort they are with each other, and how all the self-consciousness is already beyond them. However, comfort may be good, but too much of it leads right into the refusal to leave one’s comfort zone. That’s when relationships hit a rut, and sometimes it’s hard to get out of it.
